Susan Murgo Hall, Seminar Participant

Murgo Hall began teaching at Massasoit Community College in
1990. Initially, she taught Speech Communication I and
English Composition I (and a few times, Introductory Writing), mainly
in the college’s CHOICES program. In 1992, she began to teach a
one-size-fits-all English as a Second Language course at Bridgewater
State College, which she taught until 1997. In 1994, she also
began to teach Beginning Spanish I and II, both here and at Bridgewater
State College. When she became a full-time faculty member at
Massasoit in 1997, she continued teaching both Beginning Spanish I and
II, and then “acquired” Intermediate Spanish I and II, as well as
College ESL I. Occasionally, she teaches College ESL II, Reading
for ESL, and Conversation and Pronunciation for ESL. Professor
Hall holds degrees from the University of Maine, the University of
Massachusetts/Boston, and Simmons College. In July 1993 and in
August 1997, she completed an immersion program in Spanish language and
culture at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in
Santander, Spain. She completed a similar course in French at
Université Laval in Quebec, (Quebec) Canada in July-August
2001. Professor Hall has also completed courses at Massasoit
Community College and at Bridgewater State College.
